Cooling Depot Coolant

Coolant is one of the key fluid of the engine, unless, of course, in the cases of old Volkswagens and Porsches, or other air-cooled applications. Running an engine without coolant may result in immediate failure, but running with the wrong coolant may result in short and medium term damage that can be costly, but easily avoidable.

Consequences can be quite varied and unpleasant: if you put a low-nitrile coolant in a system that doesn't tolerate this element, the inside of the radiator's passages will get gunked up with silicate gel. This will obviously diminish the radiator's flow and will lead to efficiency problems down the line.

Or, if you were to use a coolant that contains nitrile (typically used on European cars) in a vehicle not designed for it, the various sealsof the cooling system may become brittle and leak. Your customer may realize it quickly enough if the car leaves puddles in the driveway, but bigger complications may occur if the head gaskets fail and the coolant gets into the engine. Then, corrosion of the cylinder sleeves, piston heads, rings may ensue.

There are many types of coolant for different vehicles and different roles. Depending on the car, its geographic location and type of use, you may need a very specific type of coolant. Add to that the fact that manufacturers require different blends and additives, and the selection gets really complicated.

Cooling Depot offers many different types of coolant, and it's important to know which one will fit your engine’s needs perfectly.

All Cooling Depot's products fulfill the ASTM D3306 norm, all coolants are designed to the most modern standards and using the latest techniques. It is also good to know that you won't need to add distilled water since all our products are premixed.

To help customers and mechanics, Cooling Depot has colour-coded both the coolant's jug and the liquid itself. Since car manufacturers have optimized their cooling systems for particular chemical components, you do not want to mix different blends together.

Working on a Hyundai, an Infiniti or a Kia? You need the Cooling Depot Extended Life Green. For domestic vehicles like Chrysler of Ford, the Extended Life Gold is the best choice.
